What you'll do:

 

As a Lead UX Designer for the VCS team, you will define the future of this platform. The VCS business is already focused on the next generation of the new platform and is looking for a design partner to help them define and design that experience. You will be:

 

  • Deeply involved at every stage of the design process—from discovery through detailed design, execution, and iteration—creating high-quality user flows, wireframes, pixel perfect designs, and prototypes, of your own hand or at times by advising more junior designers.
  • A close partner to cross-functional teams, including brainstorming with collaborators around product problems, solutions, requirements and priorities.
  • A valued contributor to the identification and prioritization of strategic product design work, and to how initiatives are explored and carried out upon.
  • Working closely with data, consumer insights, and UX research partners for foundational guidance on product direction, and new concept validation.
  • Ensuring cohesiveness with the Vista design system and marketing brand guidelines.
  • Sharing and evangelizing user-centered design methods across Vista.

  • 6+ years experience designing digital products.
  • 3+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UX and design skills, in multiple case studies that include an end-to-end iterative design process, from the start of a project to completion, with clear rationale, and meaningful measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging quantitative and/or qualitative data to inspire design decisions and solutions.
  • Ability to move between high level design and detailed design, and between future concepting and near term implementation.
  • Ability to build strong cross functional relationships with designers, product managers, and engineers
  • Ability to clearly present design concepts and solutions to a variety of audiences.
  • Highly skilled with type, hierarchy, color, composition, contrast, and other graphic design fundamentals.
  • Passionate about design trends, tools, processes, and methodologies, and willing to learn and share new insights with the team.
  • Highly skilled with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and/or Sketch to create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Relevant degree in field of Design or HCI.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to plan, moderate, and implement a variety of goal-oriented workshops across stakeholders, leading to exciting new insights, new-found consensus, and critical alignment.
  • Experience designing across responsible web and native mobile platforms, as well as within large-scale digital ecosystems.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing features, as well as participating in complex roadmap planning.
