The Consumer Design team at Vista is a multidisciplinary collective of experts who are all focused on providing the best consumer experience. We invent, create and improve the process of designing and sharing products for celebrating important events like weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and holidays. As a Content Designer, you'll partner with UX and UI designers, UX researchers, product managers and engineers to build intuitive experiences stemming from the existing consumer experience, and explore innovative new ways to help people celebrate and remember landmark life events through design.

What you'll do:

In your day-to-day, you’ll: 

●    Observe the current user experience to understand where customers need help 

●    Map user flows, interaction patterns, design specifications, wireframes and mental models

●    Advocate for using high-frequency, plain language to build conversational experiences and intuitive interfaces

●    Understand and define how Vista’s tone changes across different interactions

●    Identify opportunities to improve language consistency across end-to-end experiences

●    Collaborate with product designers, product managers, researchers and engineers

●    Contribute constructively to design reviews

●    Define language concepts across various contexts, including our Design System components and patterns

●    Work on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage expectations effectively

  • 6-8+ years experience in content design, content strategy, or a related field (agency and/or in-house) for a tech/retail/consumer brand
  • Proven ability in developing large-scale, high-quality, content experiences 
  • Ability to balance quality standards with MVP (minimal viable product) testing strategies 
  • Background in producing data-informed, measurable content that considers customer insights and test findings
  • Aptitude for building strong relationships with design, creative, technical and business partners 
  • Expertise with English grammar, style, diction and structure
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating how you approach design problems

 

Nice to have:

  • An understanding of other languages and the typical challenges of localizing content from English
  • A passion for learning about and advocating for inclusive language 
  • A passion for learning how to improve web accessibility
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with working in Figma
