What will you do as a Manufacturing Engineer?
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with the production team at our Vistaprint manufacturing plant in Venlo to carry out technical and process improvements within the facility. The work environment is fast-paced, energetic and dedicated to achieving ambitious goals. You will work with other Vistaprint engineering teams to understand the current state of operations, implement improvements, and apply best practices on optimizing both existing and new process flows. You are responsible for the equipment’s optimal operation and you offer technical support when selecting new equipment and for the maintenance of the machines.
You must also:

Monitor, evaluate and improve the production process, support the development of new production process and resolve existing problems within the current processes.

Inspect, analyse, evaluate, optimise, upgrade and improve a very varied electronic and mechanical machine park.

Develop and implement initiatives which save costs, increase production and/or enhance quality.

Be involved in projects concerning the installation of new equipment and the introduction of new products.

Closely collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance teams in Venlo and the Global Engineering and Lean groups.
You’ll have:

A minimum HBO/bachelors degree in the field of Engineering, during which you gained knowledge of Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.

Minimum 3 years experience with process, equipment or industrial engineering.

Project management skills, knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA and Lean Manufacturing.

The ambition to achieve results. You are adaptable and decisive.

Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.

Understanding of lean manufacturing principals.

Ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control.

Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels and positions within the organization.

Fluency in English, Dutch and/or German preferred.
