Step into the dynamic world of Vistaprint as a Lead Facility Engineer.

As part of our Facility Engineering team you support our production and innovation efforts. As a lead facility engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our infrastructure aligns with our production innovation needs.

Your expertise will be essential in identifying and management of change improvements throughout the Vistaprint plant in Venlo.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements: Identify areas for enhancement, ensure optimal facility conditions, and craft compelling business cases to support these improvements.
  • Technical calculations and feasibility: Conduct thorough calculations for any new project, machine installation, or product launch. This can include assessing the roof's capacity for new installations, ensuring adequate extraction power for fine dust, sufficient electricity supply, and other utilities via our project management methodology process.
  • Space optimization: Reconfigure the layout of machinery and workstations to optimize workflow and ensure efficient use of space. Oversee construction or renovation projects within the facility, such as expanding production areas or installing new equipment at the shopfloor.
  • Provide expert consultation: Offer insights, solutions, and recommendations for all facility-related queries based on your expertise.
  • Collaborate with external parties (guidance and control): Work with external vendors and contractors to ensure high-standard project execution aligned with Vistaprint's goals.

Must-Haves:

  • An engineering background with foundational knowledge in WTB/E, OR demonstrable experience in a utility/infrastructure role and proven project management experience.
  • Proficiency in English, enabling effective communication in our diverse industrial environment.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic settings, effortlessly switching between different tasks and priorities.
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially when dealing with external vendors and contractors.
  • Living in commuting distance to Venlo and eligibility to work in the Netherlands.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in a (high-tech) manufacturing environment.
  • Use standardized methodologies for problem solving
  • Proficiency in BIM/AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of local permits and local authorities.
