Our Team
We are seeking an outstanding Payroll Specialist to lead the end to end payroll processing for our team in Tunisia. Under the direction of the Manager, Accounting manager, this position is responsible for producing an accurate and timely center-wide payroll. This includes ensuring an accurate and timely set up and ongoing check of all payroll-related benefits, direct deposits, leave accruals and required deductions for all staff, as well as maintaining accurate data for employee work performed. They will be responsible for the essential functions below.
What You Will Do
- Record and maintain accurate files of all payroll records, payroll related data and paid time off – using these to prepare month end and ad hoc reporting as requested
- Verify setup data migrated from HRDM for new and current employees and use this data to input, set up and/or change Payroll-related data to ensure accuracy
- Gather and retrieve data to be audited and be available to answer questions and retrieve additional data as required
- Must be able to run queries for leave accruals to resolve hours for calculation of and adjustment to leave accruals.
- Reconciles benefit withholding to statements and make necessary corrections
- Conduct employee employment and salary verification reports
- Prepare payroll and salary related correspondence for employees as requested
- Respond to payroll or paycheck-related questions from employees or forward to appropriate team member and advise HR to answer inquires.
Your Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in a payroll environment, ideally working with SAGE or a similar payroll system
- solid knowledge of payroll practices and procedures as well as accounting processes such as encumbrance and/or payroll tax filing and reconciliation
- Establish rapport with internal stakeholders and maintain positive relationship with external collaborators
- Exposure to working with a Human Resource data management (HRDM)
- Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship leadership skills with the proven track record to work in a dynamic environment
- University degree in accounting or finance
