As a Full stack Principal Software Engineer within CARE Technology Tribe, you will lead and be a part of one or several teams of energetic software engineers building a highly visible platform based on React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, AWS cloud services, and several other cutting-edge technologies that will be used by thousands of customer CARE specialists in assisting millions of customers across the globe.

 

Your role will involve

  • Leading one or several teams building applications using React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, Typescript, and AWS cloud services
  • Actively contributing to software development design and coding
  • Providing subject expertise related to full stack web development, application architecture, data, integration, security, and technology
  • Contributing in hiring, mentoring, and leading one or several teams of full stack software engineers
  • Collaborating with Product Manager(s) on overall project objectives, understand business use cases, architect, design, develop, test, and document solutions
  • Assessing technical considerations (security, scalability, resiliency, etc.)
  • Assessing technologies utilized within current technology stack as well as new technologies which solve complicated business problems and provide best possible end user experience for streamlined business operations
  • Designing & documenting flexible, scalable, and robust state-of-the-art architecture for our Customer Service Platform to meet current and future needs. Influencing and driving software design discussions
  • Presenting architecture options and recommendations including configuration vs. Customization
  • Providing technical guidance to your team(s), reinforcing architecture and design best practices and documenting them. Influencing your team members to enforce best practices for architecture and code style though code reviews and pairing. You will work closely with your team members to motivate and inspire them to deliver with quality in alignment with business goals.
  • Working closely with our product manager(s) to ensure we're building the best products
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement (process and technical) and recommending solutions
  • Troubleshooting issues and taking operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team(s)
  • Assuming responsibility for team's outcomes, taking an active role in finding solution(s) and creating the right environment for a team’s success
  • Contributing to and promoting a fun and results-driven team culture

  

In return you will bring 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field with at least 8 years of experience working in software engineering
  • Can do mindset and strong problem-solving skills regardless of the technology
  • Expertise in Object oriented design and programming, and proficiency in crafting micro-service architectures and using design patterns
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Expertise in working with REST APIs and JSON
  • Proficiency with ReactJS, its principles, and workflows
  • Experience with containers and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and Knowledge of DevSecOps best practices
  • Proficiency in designing and building cloud native applications and services
  • Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a solution
  • Expertise in mocking, unit testing and perf testing of solutions
  • Design and implementation experience with SQL databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills including fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from a variety of departments at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
  • Experience in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide direction and influence to engineering team(s) responsible for resolution of complex technical challenges

  • Proficiency in designing and building cloud native applications and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Industry experience in e-commerce and customer service
  • Experience in designing and building Serverless applications
  • Experience in designing and building NoSQL databases
  • Experience with functional programming
