Preview Experience Specialist

 

Vista is seeking a talented and creative Product Experience Specialist to join its Image Studio team, to drive the production of high-quality photography assets and preview rendering projects. In this role, the specialist defines and executes how a customer’s design looks on a product throughout the Vistaprint website, Email, and Shopping Ads.

This individual must be proficient in using Photoshop, have an eye for detail and possess excellent project scoping capabilities. This role requires individual autonomy and accountability. This person must be able to properly analyze data and make visual judgements and decisions driven by that data.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the personalization of our products, ensuring a memorable and tailored experience for our customers. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Technology, Product Marketing, Project Management and Creative Functions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end product preview process, from ideation to launch, while ensuring all project milestones are met.
  • Visualize the entire site flow for new products and decide on the best product preview technology to enable in each location.
  • Project scoping.
  • Create and alter product images in Photoshop and create previews using internal tools.
  • Keep digital assets organized in the DAM (Digital Asset Manager) by adhering to established best practices.
  • Conduct photo research within the DAM.
  • Collaborate and seek alignment with Product Owners, Technology, Product Marketing, and Project Management and Design teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Oversee the quality control of work to ensure product previews meet high-quality standards.
  • Be aware of all schedules, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Write and maintain documentation on product preview creation and best practices.
  • Communicate project statuses, chase blockers and facilitate handoffs.
  • Support technology changes and new customer experience features that impact previews. This includes but is not limited to providing input to technology teams, and ensuring asset requirements are met by the product category, either through personal tasks or in coordination with other teams.
  • Process Improvement - Continuously assess and report any ideas for a better creation and delivery processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in experiments and pilot projects to uncover and implement better solutions and workflows.
  • Conduct A/B User Testing
  • Analyze, report and take action based on results
  • Troubleshoot and triage any technical issues that may arise on and off site.
  • Audit and optimize already existing imagery on and off site to make sure that the Vista Brand is being represented, while also making customer driven visual enhancements that result in more revenue.
  • Be customer obsessed, centric and focused
  • Create WBRs outlining errors, conversion rates, customer facing KPIs and NPS scores in order to ensure customers are receiving products as expected.

 

Sr. Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the first POC for Junior members that have process or technical questions.
  • Assists the Team Lead with recruitment, onboarding and training of the Team.
  • Plays a key role in any new team experiments, data & analysis, or pilot projects in order to lead the way for other team members.
  • Is an expert at documenting, communicating and teaching on all aspects of the job.

 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with customer facing Photography and/or design.
  • Expert Photoshop experience (tools, layer structure, masking, smart objects).
  • Asset management experience.
  • Is curious and has demonstrated interest in constantly learning to be able to operate autonomously.
  • Experience in project management or a related role.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Google).
  • Experience operating with various integrated web-services and large sets of data.
  • Drives Change – Has an attitude to go beyond the technical requirements and think about ways to improve processes.
  • Has a strong attention to detail and an eye for quality.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Visual Arts related degree and/ or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience working with a digital asset management (DAM ) system is a plus
  • Experience with 3D is a plus.
  • Experience in an Agile practices, rituals and Kanban boards is a plus.
  • Experience with AI or Photoshop AI methodologies a plus
