Design Advisor (German speaker)

Our Team

As a Design Advisor on our specialized team, you will provide expert creative guidance by enhancing existing customer designs based on their unique needs and helping customers with advanced customizations of Vistaprint templates to create exceptional results.

You will lead scheduled design consultations, crafting custom designs from scratch while also resolving sophisticated design-related requests from customers and supporting other design teams through both written and verbal communication. You'll deliver a high-quality customer experience across multiple channels, including phone, video calls, email, chat, messaging, and support tickets, while consistently meeting our service standards.

In addition, you will collaborate with colleagues across our global teams to provide support for different markets whenever needed.

•  Transform Ideas into Design: Create high-quality, customer-focused visual solutions tailored to each brand's unique identity and business goals.

•  Act as a Creative Advisor: Partner directly with customers via phone, video, chat, messaging, and email—guiding them through design decisions and pitching concepts with confidence.

• Solve Creative Challenges: Interpret briefs, research customer needs, and deliver polished designs that balance artistic creativity with commercial objectives.

• Recommend & Elevate: Guide customers on design best practices, layout improvements, and Vista’s product solutions that take their projects to the next level.

• Collaborate Globally: Work with a diverse global community of designers to share ideas, participate in design critiques, and learn from teammates across different cultures.

• Embrace Emerging Tools: Stay curious and continuously expand your expertise in Vista's offerings and modern design tools (including AI-driven workflows).

Your Qualifications

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Design Experience: At least 1 year of professional graphic design experience (or an outstanding portfolio showcasing strong design fundamentals, typography, layout, and visual storytelling).

• Degree/ Diploma course in Graphic Design or equivalent

• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator,

Photoshop, InDesign).

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze customer briefs and translate feedback into creative design solutions.

• Customer-Facing Experience: At least has experience in a customer-facing role with a proven ability to build rapport and communicate clearly in German (written and spoken).

• Schedule Flexibility: Adaptability to support other schedules as business needs

evolve. 

Nice to Have

• Either one year of graphic design proven experience or inexperienced but with a good portfolio.

• Fluency in one additional language alongside German is highly preferred. This may include French, Italian, Spanish, English, Portuguese, or any other language that enables support for our global customer base. 

• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (e.g., Gemini, Nano Banana, or similar) to generate design inspiration, validate that customer requests have been accurately interpreted, and enhance overall design quality while maintaining human creativity and judgment.
