The Controllership team is a vital part of the broader Vista Finance organization. It is responsible for global accounting operations, the accuracy of periodic financial results, financial policy, compliance, and control for all of Vista. In this role, you are responsible for Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll Operations for the local Philippine entity for both Global and Local Compliance.


For this role, a Team member with several years of accounting experience manages a local team and is fully accountable for their and team members’ performance within the assigned disciplines.

Functional Knowledge

  • Profound knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Solid knowledge of US and local GAAP for entities of responsibility
  • Extensive knowledge of global and local compliance requirements


Problem Complexity

  • Sufficiently understands local compliance requirements to define measures to resolve them.
  • Able to discuss/resolve issues of high complexity with internal and external requestors (Business, Auditors, Tax advisors)
  • Fully understand the Balance sheet and P&L positions and their interactions
  • Stimulates/facilitates continuous improvement in areas covered by the team
  • Stays informed about changes/new legislation in areas of responsibility


Leadership of Others

  • Focus on managing/leading/developing, and supporting the local team
  • Acts as a resource within the entire team
  • Skills to lead projects on a local and global level



  • Understands the impact of own team and drives a high level of service and quality
  • Acts as a key player in global projects or leads projects on a global level


Interpersonal Interaction


  • Builds/maintains relationships at the right level across the Company to stay informed about changes relevant to the local team
  • Operational resource for external stakeholders (e.g., tax adviser, Audit)
  • Influences internal/external stakeholders in the decision-making process
  • Represents local controllership team internally/externally



Your Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or any equivalent). Good to have an MBA but not a requirement.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • At least five years of working experience in Accounting/Controllership
  • Intermediate knowledge of general accounting with a strong understanding of the local and international accounting process
  • Strong people leadership skills, people development experience, and proven ability to lead, motivate and train teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong team player with a hands-on attitude
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and improvement driven
  • High level of English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of SAP or other major ERP is preferred.
  • Typically dayshift but must be flexible to shift hours/working hours adapted to other time zones occasionally
