Your New Role

Your role will be to manage the online content and merchandising experience for our Australia, New Zealand and Singapore websites to increase overall customer engagement and site conversion.  You will own the site calendar and be accountable for the day-to-day running of website initiatives including marketing campaigns, website customer journeys, site discovery and categorisation, site merchandising and page performance. 

As part of the Web squad within the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the optimisation of our online content and merchandising experiences to ensure the on-site experience maximises deep engagement with our products and services across mobile and desktop platforms to deliver on commercial outcomes.

 

What You Will Do

  • Manage the site merchandising and online content strategy across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore sites, aligned with the go-to-market promotional marketing calendar and ensuring outputs are optimised for engagement and conversion.
  • End-to-end responsibility of the onsite customer journey – leading the brand and campaign merchandising experience, product discoverability, site content calendar, customer engagement (including Ratings & Reviews) and price transparency.
  • Brief and lead the execution of all website activity to support brand, campaign and channel success, to drive deep customer engagement through local relevance.
  • Collaborate with the wider Web Squad and local Marketing team on group projects, as well as the global/central teams.
  • Manage and champion the ticketing and prioritisation for any content and MX requirements.
  • Develop, document, and execute testing plans relating to site pages and content to measure effectiveness of different messaging and campaign types across multiple dimensions, with a focus on optimising customer engagement and conversion.
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into site features and requirements to improve end-user satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage a team of 4; 2 Direct reports; Digital Designer and Front-End Developer and a Senior Merchandising Operations Specialist, as well as 2 Merchandising Operations Specialists and support their professional development.
  • Manage the Merchandising Operations team to drive accurate implementation of web content for promotions and campaigns across the site.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 6+ years’ experience in creating online content and eCommerce merchandising strategies and seeing them through to execution.
  • Experience with analytics platforms, CMS systems and eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced eCommerce environment with strong commercial targets.
  • Demonstrated experience of content optimisation via UI/UX and digital merchandising to achieve sales goals.
  • Experience delivering successful end-to-end digital programs or campaigns through cross functional internal and external teams— from concept to execution to reporting and optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience of optimising end-to-end customer experience across a complex product portfolio.
  • Experience across large organisation matrix structures with central resources and decentralised targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or similar (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – data led decision making. Demonstrated experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and optimise accordingly.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics.
