Your New Role
You will be responsible for developing and managing the local merchandising strategy for our Australia, New Zealand and Singapore (ANZS) websites to increase overall customer engagement and site conversion on both mobile and desktop platforms. You will own the site calendar and be accountable for the day-to-day running of website initiatives including marketing campaigns, website customer journeys, site merchandising and page performance – including testing initiatives to drive commercial performance.
You will be highly analytical with strong organisational, planning and time-management skills, with a proven capacity to prioritise and perform time-sensitive tasks coupled with a keen eye for detail. You will be a passionate people leader and demonstrate thought-leadership, articulating a clear vision and be able to work in partnership with both local and global stakeholders, including senior leaders in a matrix organisation.
What You Will Do
- Develop, own and implement the ANZS merchandising strategy, working in close partnership with the Go-to-Market and channels team to deliver engagement and conversion to deliver and measure sales targets.
- End-to-end responsibility of the onsite customer journey – leading the brand and campaign merchandising experience, product discoverability, site content calendar, customer engagement (including Ratings & Reviews) and price transparency.
- Manage and champion the ticketing and prioritisation for any content and MX requirements.
- Brief and lead the execution of all website activity to support brand, campaign and channel success, to drive deep customer engagement through local relevance.
- Partner with Central MX Strategy and Technology teams (Matrix) to:
- to champion ANZS Customer and Merchandising experience needs using a data driven approach.
- to develop and roll-out impactful UX improvements to the region in line with the global roadmap.
- To communicate the central technology roadmap
- Working with the Central Organic Search team, you will be responsible for delivering strong organic traffic growth through the implementation of the global & localised content strategy and optimisation of site content
- Work with the local pricing and promotion team to drive process improvement, to deliver accurate site content.
- Build the testing optimisation framework, with a focus on test-and-learn through A/B testing to drive customer engagement and conversion
- Lead and manage a team of : 3 Merchandising Operations Specialists & a Digital Designer and Front-End Developer supporting their professional development in a remote working environment

- 8+ years’ experience in creating online content and eCommerce merchandising strategies and seeing them through to execution
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or similar (preferred)
- Experience with analytics platforms, CMS systems and eCommerce platforms
- Experience working in a fast-paced eCommerce environment with strong commercial targets
- Demonstrated experience of content optimisation via UI/UX and digital merchandising to achieve sales goals
- Experience delivering successful end-to-end campaigns and key projects through cross functional internal teams with global dependencies — from concept to execution, reporting and optimisation
- Demonstrated experience of leading cross-functional teams and projects, with a focus on optimising end-to-end customer experience across a complex product portfolio
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – data led decision making. Demonstrated experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and optimise accordingly. Strong proficiency with Google Analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and relationship building, including the ability to work with senior leaders and global teams to deliver results
