As Vista’s Senior Strategy Director, you will serve as a thought partner to the executive team and help Vista win by developing and maintaining the strategy that will deliver our long-term customer and business success. You will work with the senior most leaders in Vista to ensure that our strategy is reflected in our near-term priorities, objectives and key results, and in our daily execution. In this highly visible role, you will report directly to the CEO and facilitate constructive debate in Vista’s executive team about the strategic direction of the company, key strategy choices, and the resourcing of key initiatives critical to our success.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a thought partner to Vista’s executive team in the creation and adaptation of Vista’s strategy.
  • Recommend decisions on strategic choices and resource allocation.
  • Maintain the operational rhythm of the business, including objectives and key results and annual planning.
  • Plan and lead the long range and annual strategy and planning cycles, aligning with finance and other relevant teams within the organization.
  • Set standards for global business practices including operating rhythm, process development, systems, and supporting teams with execution.
  • Find opportunities and gaps in the business and propose/manage projects that will need to be created.
  • Build positive relationships and strategic alignment with executive leaders and key cross-functional collaborators.
  • Maintain a perspective on market segment developments and competition.
  • Facilitate strategy and business updates with Cimpress’ executive board and the board of directors.
  • Act as a Chief of Staff to the CEO and ensure that he and the executive team spend their time efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage and develop two team members (Sr. Manager Strategic Planning; Executive Assistant).
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the CEO and the executive team.

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality and high degree of business judgment.
  • Creative approach to fresh ideas and comfortable to experiment with new initiatives that could fuel growth.
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to “hands on” perform analysis and financial modeling.
  • Influence across hierarchies and navigate matrixed structures.
  • High quality bar, ensuring readiness of strategic and decision-oriented discussions Break strategic issues down into manageable pieces, “connect the dots”.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions at the executive level, constructively challenging the status quo.
  • Outstanding communication skills, especially in writing.
  • Data driven and measurable outcomes approach to work and initiatives.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a top-level strategy consulting firm and/or in a strategic planning position within a tech and/or production environment.
  • Worked directly with the CEO or the executive team for at least 3 years.
  • Proven team leader, with at least 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Passionate about driving operational excellence, with experience in planning, creating, and strategic planning.
