About the Role:

The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist is responsible for administering the internal recruitment program for all hourly positions, as well as for acting as a partner to provide support and coordination for the daily management of labour and production schedules to ensure all temporary staffing needs of the business are met and sustained. This role is also required to support salary recruitment efforts including posting jobs, screening resumes and conducting first round phone screening while emphasizing a positive candidate experience.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for administering the internal recruitment program for all hourly positions from start to finish – this includes preparing job posting, scheduling and facilitating respective testing and interviews, job analysis, preparation of successful and unsuccessful email notifications, processing of background testing and data processing.
  • Support salary recruitment – post job, screen resumes and conduct first round phone screening.
  • Provide support and be a resource to Team Members and partners for all hourly internal recruitment matters.
  • Facilitate the fulfillment of short and long-term labor planning requirements, in addition to holiday staffing produced by Analytics.
  • Where required, work with staffing agencies to communicate and coordinate requirements for both additions and reductions to labor, in addition to the general maintenance of staffing levels including backfill replacements/losses to meet upcoming labor demands
  • Temporary agency invoice reconciliation to ensure hours billed equate to hours paid
  • Responsible to provide standard reports for temporary agency turnover, absenteeism rates, actual production labour and perform root cause analysis on labor discrepancies/gaps versus expectations
  • Facilitate exit interviews for all exits – hourly & salary and track data.
  • Support hourly step/annual increase processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment and hiring process.
  • Maintenance of all Reno job descriptions.
  • Required to build and maintain a comprehensive SOP manual and instruction guide for internal recruitment administration as well as making recommendations for process improvement
  • Assist with growing our employment brand and recruiting presence across channels
  • Participate in job fairs and other networking events; identify new opportunities to connect with candidates.
  • Responsible to coordinate hourly new hire probationary reviews.
  • Support global benefits team in leave management practices for site.
  • Required to collaborate closely and maintain working relationships with various departments and partners including Operations and HR.
  • Shares information, knowledge and standard methodologies with the business while supporting and adopting standardized North American processes, procedures and policies.

 

What You Need:

  • Minimum post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years Human Resources experience with emphasis on staffing and recruitment, including full-life cycle
  • In-depth sourcing expertise using a range of methods and sources
  • Solid understanding of US labor laws and legislation as it relates to hiring and employment practices
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) an asset
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and present a polished and professional image to candidates and hiring managers at all times
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
  • Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Highly developed organizational skills, including outstanding attention to details and accuracy
  • Must have a positive demeanor, self-motivated and highly responsive to multiple stakeholder needs
  • Must possess a keen understanding of the differences between roles within organizations
  • Preference to those with experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven good judgement and maturity
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
