A Shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday ($20.94)

B Shift: 6pm-4:30am Monday through Thursday ($24.08)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is primarily a Production Operator role, responsible for performing a variety of job duties within processing and packing of customer orders. This position, from time to time, will also be responsible for the auditing of customer orders and/or items as well as incoming supplier materials to ensure their conformance to specifications. A high level of product and process inspection and documentation from the completion of the quality checks will be required. A high degree of accuracy is required in all aspects of this classification to ensure a conformance measurement KPI for the Reno facility. This position may be responsible for rotating among various locations in the facility to provide an appropriate sampling of products / materials are inspected. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Identify, validate, and catalog any quality defects or issues using the Gauge Inspection and Quality Database.
  • Knowledgeable of CTQs and able to understand Change Points (CPMs)
  • Perform daily internal inspections and containment and generate reports
  • Utilize Viper, Web Shell, and Quickbase for daily inspection and containment
  • Perform line-side inspections and issue Hold Tags, and escalate when required
  • Utilize the Stop-Call-Wait system for escalation and abnormalities in process, product, and quality parameters
  • Support shift operations in overcoming quality issues by providing standards and guidelines
  • Ability to effectively work with limited supervision and attend training programs
  • Good communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to effectively work independently and with others
  • Work accurately under time constraints

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities and lift to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
  • The ability to actively listening and read comprehensive documents
  • Strong communication skills
