Lead HR Advisor for Europe - Germany Remote

Our Team:

We are currently looking for a passionate and driven Lead HR Advisor EU to join our European HR team as they look to build an employee-centric HR organization across our remote-first European entities. The person in this role will lead various employee and organization-related initiatives, with main focus on Germany, and with an extended scope to France and Czech Republic.

What You Will Do:

The Lead HR Advisor will provide support and back-up to the Senior Manager, HR Europe, and will collaborate closely with numerous partners, including business leaders, HR functional experts (including Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations, HR Business Partners), and other internal partners such as Legal, Compliance, and Payroll.

In this impactful role, you will:

• Act as the main HR point of contact for the assigned country scope (which can include more entities within a single country), and will be responsible for compliance topics, employee relations, and country-specific programs.
• Work with our in-house counsel to stay up-to-date on changes to employment laws, and how these are applied into policies and guidelines.
• Advise business leaders, and other HR partners, on updates to employment law and provide advice to managers of all levels (from Team Lead roles to Executives) along a broad range of HR matters such as performance management, disciplinary measures and leadership.
• Drive proactive team member communication on HR matters to enhance the team member experience.
• In partnership with the respective COEs, create working conditions for an outstanding team member experience, including the creation of a competitive and sustainable benefits landscape.
• Support and drive a variety of global strategic HR initiatives around Talent Management, Compensation Philosophy and Future of Work.
• Mentor a team of HR Generalists across the different EU countries.

Your Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Human Resources or related working experience.
• A profound knowledge of German employment law.
• Exceptional communication skills – both in English and in German
• Experience in working in international organizations, and possess the mindset it takes to successfully collaborate across locations and cultures.
• Able to establish trust and credibility, handling confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
• Demonstrated ability in advising and coaching managers in a variety of complex situations exercising sound judgement while balancing organizational needs and risk.

Nice to Have:

• An academic degree with a focus on Human Resources, Psychology or other related fields
• Having worked with French or Czech employment law is an advantage
