About the Role:

You will be responsible for tracking and analyzing trends for Vistaprint’s north America’s global manufacturing and logistics operations. You will work closely with the Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering and Financial Teams, applying strong analytical skills to define problems, form hypotheses, gather and analyze data and make recommendations. Types of detailed analyses will include but are not limited to shipping costs, labour costs, throughput time, scheduling optimization, customer complaints, etc.

What You Will Do:

  • Working with Operations and Manufacturing Teams. Define data requirements for analysis. Recommend targets, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing and logistics.
  • Become the in-house expert in the use of company databases and other data sources for manufacturing and logistics analytics.
  • Build dashboards to enable decision-making. Partner with local and global business stakeholders to understand their questions, translate it into actionable insights, and enable self-service decisioning through building dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Be immersed in diverse teams (e.g., Manufacturing Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, Data Scientists) where you will collaborate on analyses and continually bring forward ideas and insights to drive value for our customers.
  • Collaborating in a fast paced, agile environment that focuses on delivering customer value early and often.
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc analytic requests from the plant for data, analysis, and reports.
  • Work with global partners on exploratory data analysis as well as implementation, monitoring, and reporting of approved initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and analyst support staff.

Your Qualifications:

  • Have a strong orientation for data and technology. You have 3-5 years of direct technical, analytical work experience in a related field, with proficiency in SQL programming, or keen to learn (with other programming experience). Experience with analytics data environments and technologies (i.e., Snowflake, GitLab, Python, MSSQL, ...) is a plus. Advance level knowledgeable in Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA)
  • Have a passion for data. You are comfortable with exploratory analysis, statistical techniques, and are driven to find meaningful patterns and trends in the data.  Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau are a plus.
  • Are a resourceful and driven problem solver.  You enjoy and have demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems, drawing inferences from data, and using your analysis skills and business acumen to identify solutions.  You have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage projects supporting multiple business partners.  You are motivated to learn the business processes and understand stakeholder needs.
