Senior Backend Engineer VistaCreate- Ukraine remote

Our Team

VistaCreate is an online graphic design tool with thousands of free templates and AI-powered features to bring ideas to life. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the VistaCreate team and help us build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services that power millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in designing architecture, improving system performance, and driving technical decisions within the backend domain.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs

• Work with MongoDB and optimize database performance

• Design and improve microservice architecture

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of backend systems

• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments

• Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Strong understanding of REST API design principles

• Experience with MongoDB (data modeling, performance optimization)

• Understanding of microservices architecture

• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ)

• Experience with monitoring/logging systems (Grafana, Sentry)

• Experience with high-load systems

• Intermediate+ English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Go

• Experience with Docker and containerized environments

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)

• Experience working in product companies

• Knowledge of security best practices
