Your New Role 

This is a newly created role based at our Manufacturing site in Derrimut (west of Melbourne) and is responsible for driving performance and providing operational leadership of people and processes in a number of defined areas of production across all shifts.

What You Will Do

Reporting to Senior Operations Manager, you will:

• Lead a team of Shift Managers and corresponding production team members; coordinate and interact with cross functional technical specialists and teams across all shifts
• Set priorities for the team to ensure outcomes that meet or exceed KPI’s, know and control all costs, develop Team members, satisfy customers, and focus on continuous improvement
• Lead Continuous Improvement Projects with impact and value

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or comparable work experience
• Advanced degree or additional certifications a plus
• Leadership experience (at least 5 years) 
• Manufacturing industry experience 
• Lean training and experience preferred (Yellow Belt, Kaizen, Green Belt, Black Belt) 
• Innovation and Critical thinking
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• High commitment to quality and safe working practices
