About the role
The primary focus of this role is to help the business get the best out of its assets through the provision of well designed and technically robust maintenance plans. The incumbent will own the plan and will take pride in building the path to improved maintenance team, contractor and asset performance. With a reliance upon root cause analysis, reliability centered maintenance, technical agility and teamwork, a focus on safety and environmental risk mitigation and an aim to support the customers – this role is a key in the delivery of the total asset maintenance strategy.

What You Will Be Doing

Monitoring and analyzing maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement - continually developing and improving equipment life plans.

Working with the operations, contractors/OEM technicians and the maintenance team to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production and communicating those plans effectively with all stakeholders.

Procuring and managing spare parts, materials, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.

Supporting the development of the annual repairs & maintenance (R&M) and spare parts budgets and tracking expenditure against these budgets.

Preparing work orders and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Tracking and reporting on maintenance performance

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.

Standing in for the Maintenance Supervisor during absence (this role is seen as a 2IC for the Supervisor).

What You Will Bring:

Trade qualifications or tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline.

Ideally, proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.

Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in maintenance management software.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Ideally, familiarity with SAP and lean manufacturing tools.
