The Physical Product and PPAG (Promotional Product, Apparel, and Gifts) categories at Vista are a multidisciplinary collective of experts who are responsible for the digital experience, merchandising, breadth, depth, speed, quality, and cost of physical products. Providing design help and expertise to the 1.4 billion small businesses globally is at the heart of our company mission, and a near term strategic area of focus across Vista. As a Content Designer, you'll partner with UX and UI designers, UX researchers, product managers and engineers to build intuitive experiences stemming from the existing consumer experience, and explore innovative new ways to help people celebrate and remember landmark life events through design.


What You Will Do:

Vista is looking for a curious and entrepreneurial Lead Content Designer with e-commerce experience to join the Physical Product and PPAG UX team, and partner with cross-functional team members to rapidly evolve our customer experience. We are shifting from a transactional to a solutions focus that understands and addresses the objectives of our customers for purchasing these products. The position is remote, and candidates are welcome to take advantage of our many collaboration spaces across the globe. In your day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Observe the current user experience to understand where customers need help.
  • Map user flows, interaction patterns, design specifications, wireframes and mental models.
  • Advocate for using high-frequency, plain language to build conversational experiences and intuitive interfaces.
  • Understand and define how Vista’s tone changes across different interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve language consistency across end-to-end experiences.
  • Collaborate with product designers, product managers, researchers and engineers.
  • Contribute constructively to design reviews.
  • Define language concepts across various contexts, including our Design System components and patterns.
  • Work on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage expectations effectively.


Your Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years experience in content design, content strategy, or a related field (agency and/or in-house) for a tech/retail/consumer brand.
  • Proven ability in developing large-scale, high-quality, content experiences.
  • Ability to balance quality standards with MVP (minimal viable product) testing strategies.
  • Background in producing data-informed, measurable content that considers customer insights and test findings.
  • Aptitude for building strong relationships with design, creative, technical and business partners.
  • Expertise with English grammar, style, diction and structure.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating how you approach design problems.


Nice to Have:

  • An understanding of other languages and the typical challenges of localizing content from English
  • A passion for learning about and advocating for inclusive language
  • A passion for learning how to improve web accessibility
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with working in Figma
