Job Description:

Join Cimpress as a UX Design System Manager and play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional digital experiences. As a UX Design System Manager, you will lead the development and maintenance of our design system to ensure a consistent and delightful user experience across our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong UX/UI design background, a deep understanding of design systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.



What You’ll Do:

  • Design System Development:
    • Lead the redesign, implementation, and evolution of our design system to establish a unified and consistent visual language across our e-commerce platform.
  • Collaboration Across Time Zones:
    • Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and product managers across different time zones to understand design requirements and ensure seamless integration of the design system into the development process.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the design system, including guidelines, patterns, and components, to facilitate consistent design implementation.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure that design system components are used correctly and consistently, addressing deviations from established standards.
  • User Testing and Feedback:
    • Collaborate with the UX research team to gather user feedback and insights to inform improvements and refinements to the design system.
  • Following Branding Guidelines:
    • Consistently collaborate with the brand management team to ensure the design system follows the current brand guidelines including logos, fonts, copy style, and colors.
  • Accessibility Compliance:
    • Ensure the design system meets the various accessibility requirements, conducting audits and implementing improvements to enhance inclusivity across diverse markets.
  • Global Localization:
    • Implement strategies to localize the design system, taking into consideration cultural nuances and regional preferences to deliver a tailored experience for users in different global markets.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training and support to design and development teams to ensure a deep understanding of the design system's principles and usage.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Effectively communicate design system updates, changes, and best practices to stakeholders across the organization.



What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI designer, interaction designer, product designer, or related, focusing on complex design systems.
  • B2B e-commerce industry experience is preferable.
  • Highly proficient in Figma design software.
  • Experience with an A/B testing platform (AB Tasty, Optimizely, or similar) is a plus.
  • Functional understanding of Google Analytics and user engagement tools like Hotjar.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies and processes is a plus.
