The Controllership team is a vital part of the broader Vista Finance organisation. It is responsible for global accounting operations, the accuracy of periodic financial results, financial policy, compliance, and control for all of Vista.

About the Role:

In this role, you will oversee and ensure compliance for Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll Operations across local entities in Australia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. You will lead a team of 2 direct reports who manage the Accounting teams in Australia and the Philippines, with additional support from our Global Shared Service Team for Accounts Payable.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience and exceptional skills to inspire and support local teams in achieving excellence while maintaining compliance with laws, regulations, and internal controls at both global and local levels.

This is a newly created, hybrid role working at our Vista Manufacturing office based in Derrimut (west of Melbourne) at least 2 days per week, with a high level of flexibility.

What You'll Do:

• Manage resource and budget for regional teams
• Resolve complex issues with internal and external stakeholders
• Understand balance sheet and P&L positions
• Drive continuous improvement within the team
• Stay informed about changes in relevant areas of responsibility
• Build and maintain relationships across the company
• Influence decision-making processes
• Represent the local controllership team internally and externally
• Manage stakeholders through effective communication
• Focus on training and skills development

What You'll Bring:

• Strong academic background in finance or accounting, CPA is a plus
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting/Controllership
• Strong knowledge of general accounting and international processes
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
• Strong team player with a hands-on attitude
• Self-motivated, proactive, and improvement-driven
• Experience in a global publicly registered company
• Knowledge of SAP or other major ERP is a plus
• Solid knowledge of US and local GAAP
