We’re seeking a talented, enthusiastic and collaborative writer to join our Merchandising Experience (MX) team. You’ll partner with product managers, designers, developers and other writers to create VistaPrint website product copy, with a focus on our small business owner audience.


What You Will Do:

  • Write and edit copy for the VistaPrint website. Your day-to-day focus will be on creating or optimizing product descriptions, and enhancing customers’ experiences within one of our business product categories. That said, you may have occasional opportunities to create copy for other spaces: emails, online display, content articles and more.
  • Work closely with designers, strategists, analysts, marketers and other copywriters to create new or improved site experiences for our customers.
  • Incorporate SEO keywords, creative direction and feedback into your work and co-create engaging, effective solutions.
  • Build connections, present your work and get feedback as we align on best practices as part of a global, cross-functional organization.
  • Make customer obsession and the pursuit of creative excellence the cornerstones of all you do. You’ll help small business owners improve their day-to-day experiences and achieve their business goals – if that’s something that lights you up, we’d love to hear from you.


Your Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of copywriting experience. In-house agencies, external agencies or freelance – you have experience in a copywriting role, and you’re looking to put those skills to work in a new and exciting way.
  • Native level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience or familiarity with e-commerce product writing and product descriptions. You are able to write descriptions quickly and effectively, always thinking about what information a customer will need and want.
  • Thorough proofreading/copyediting and organization skills.
  • Strong strategic and collaboration skills, with the mindset that each product is a chance to collectively learn, grow and add something to the team.
  • A strong online portfolio of work. Please provide a URL to samples when applying. Applications without a link to English samples will not be considered.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience writing for North American audiences, with a grasp of spelling, terminology and user behavior. Otherwise, a willingness to learn.
  • An understanding of – or interest in – user behavior and motivation at different stages in the customer journey.
  • Experience or interest in UX copywriting and channel marketing – email, online display, etc.
