What You Will Do
As Privacy Counsel, you will play a key role in Cimpress’ global privacy program, working within an international team to support our organization’s compliance with U.S. privacy laws and regulations and contributing to the group’s overall privacy strategy. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing pragmatic and actionable legal advice on U.S. privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, and their intersection with product development, digital advertising, and data processing activities.
  • Providing advice on privacy compliance for cookies, analytics, and tracking technologies, ensuring alignment with U.S. regulatory requirements.
  • Leading cross-functional privacy compliance projects, including building privacy operations processes such as DSAR, implementing privacy frameworks within Cimpress business units, and data mapping initiatives.
  • Supporting the design, implementation, and enhancement of privacy programs, including the operationalization of privacy principles and processes.
  • Working closely with global privacy team members to support the implementation and management of international privacy programs within the business units.
  • Conducting training and raising awareness on privacy compliance topics for teams across Cimpress and the business units.
  • Collaborating with product, developers, engineers, HR, and other teams to embed practical privacy solutions into operations and software development lifecycles.
  • Staying up to date on evolving U.S. privacy laws and enforcement trends, communicating potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Participating and leading Incident response investigations and notifications to authorities


Your Qualificatons

  • J.D. degree and admission to at least one U.S. state bar
  • 2-4 years of experience as an attorney focused on privacy and data protection.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA or similar) and their application to software development, cookies, and digital advertising environments.
  • Experience implementing privacy compliance programs or leading privacy compliance projects.
  • A practical, business-oriented approach to privacy compliance and risk management.
  • Experience advising on global privacy issues and project and working as part of an international team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to Have

  • IAPP certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM).
  • Familiarity with the NIST Privacy Framework.
  • In-house experience advising on privacy compliance matters.
