What You Will Do

• Maintain, report on, and mature our cloud cost optimization strategy to maintain and enhance effective savings rate

• Lead and manage the FinOps function to support cloud cost management, optimization, and financial governance

• Implement and advocate for FinOps best practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cloud cost benchmarking

• Support negotiations with cloud vendors to ensure cost-effective agreements and pricing

• Identify opportunities for improvement, driving automation of cloud cost controls and optimizing resource usage

• Lead the team in advancing FinOps practices from foundational to more mature stages, continuously improving with benchmarks and working towards achieving optimized cloud goals

• Lead the FinOps team in treating financial data as a product, ensuring it is accessible, accurate, and consistent for use across Cimpress businesses, product teams, and operations groups

Your Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a FinOps role, with 1-2 years in a leadership position

• Experience working with or leading a global team and interacting with technical teams as well as finance and accounting stakeholders

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related billing models

• Experience with FinOps tools and technologies, such as CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Apptio Cloudability, or similar platforms

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to convert data insights into actionable recommendations

• A strong understanding of how automation can streamline FinOps tasks, even if hands-on scripting knowledge isn’t required. Familiarity with the types of outcomes achievable through tools like Python, SQL, or cloud-native automation features is critical for guiding strategic automation opportunities within the team

Nice to Have

• FinOps certification (preferred) or equivalent experience in cloud financial management

• Experience working in a product-centric organization with a strong focus on stakeholder needs
