About our team

The Artwork Design team is responsible for the Design Experience Software that Cimpress Technology delivers to other Cimpress business units and brands. The core product is a JavaScript SDK and a library of design components that are used to create mobile-first, browser-based product design experiences. Examples of these design experience include a calendar design experience, a print-product experience, and 3D product design experience for products like bottles and boxes. Our customers are Cimpress businesses such as Vistaprint, Drukwerkdeal, Build A Sign, PixartPrinting, that want to offer an advanced design customization experience for their print products to their customers. We do this with a team of 30+ professionals across three continents.

Cimpress Technology’s artwork design team is now looking for a hands-on User Experience Design Manager to further build and complete the Design Experience UX vision, mentor and develop members of the UX team, further structure and coordinate UX processes, and increase our mobile UX expertise.


What You Will Do:

  • Increase alignment on UX vision and strategy in your UX team whose members are based in US east coast, Europe, and India.
  • Direct UX discussions about topics like design systems and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Further develop direct reports' design expertise through coaching, mentoring, 1 on 1s, training, conferences, performance reviews.
  • Closely collaborate with product managers, lead engineers, technical directors, and UX leads across the organization.
  • As a member of the Artwork Design LT, you influence the Artwork Design product vision.
  • This is a hands-on role, you will spend about half of your time designing various browser-based, mobile-first Design Experiences (see our section ‘Artwork Design’).


Your Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years’ experience sophisticated consumer facing digital multi-platform products and experiences, and 3 years' experience leading UX teams.
  • Shown history of leading, growing, structuring, and organizin UX teams, and to develop and lead UX designers through coaching and mentoring.
  • Specialist skill level with standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision and Adobe suite.
  • Experience facilitating UX design activities through workshops and design methods.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment and with geographically distributed teams


This is remote position based in Spain, Germany, UK, Ireland or Czech Republic.


Nice to have:

  • Bs or Ms degree in design (plus: with an emphasis on Human-Computer interaction), or equivalent professional experience.
