Associate Accountant - Europe remote

Within Cimpress’ Corporate Controllership, this role is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team and will support the monthly and quarterly close process for some Cimpress subsidiaries. This position is crucial to producing accurate and timely financial information as well as promoting an environment of strong internal controls. The Associate Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager, Corporate Accounting.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation and processing of journal entries (with appropriate supporting documentation) for various month end tasks and accounting transactions such as accruals, prepaids, bank transactions, payroll, capitalized software development costs etc.
  • Reconciles activity recorded in the general ledger with independent source documentation/ supporting sub-ledger systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data. Analyzes account activity to identify corrections and reclassifications based on the nature of the account
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations (SOX, US GAAP) and assists in documentation and monitoring of internal controls for areas of responsibility.
  • Assists with quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Play an instrumental role in improving existing processes through process change or automation
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or in a fast-paced accounting department
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills

 

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with SAP, OneStream or similar ERP systems is a plus
  • US GAAP knowledge and/or SOX
